About Jon
I grew up in a Christian home where I was taught to honor God’s word and the cherished traditions passed down through generations. My faith became deeply personal at a young age, and by the time I was a teenager, the questions that often accompany this stage of life drove me to seek answers in Scripture. It was during this time that I truly experienced the transformative power of Christ in my life.
My early interests in history and politics were complemented by my involvement in both student and music ministries during my college years. It was also during this time that I discovered my passion for playing guitar and writing songs. For those who enjoy music, you can find some of my compositions at jonharristunes.com.
Outside of my academic and creative pursuits, I find joy in the great outdoors. Hiking, cycling, hunting, fishing—if it’s an outdoor activity, I’ve either experienced it or look forward to trying it someday. These adventures provide both peace and inspiration, often shaping my perspective on life.
In 2016, I married the love of my life, and together we are building a beautiful family. This journey has enriched my life in countless ways, and I am grateful for the love and support we share.
Academically, I hold a Master of Divinity (MDiv) from Southeastern Seminary (2018) and a Master of Arts in History from Liberty University (2020). These experiences have deepened my understanding of both faith and history, which you’ll often find reflected in my writing.
